My Story

received_666859224668989.jpeg

Hello, my name is Lily. I was born and raised in the Green Mountain State of Vermont. At an early age I was surrounded by many folks who worked with and studied plants; naturally I became interested in exploring this world, the plant kingdom/queendom. From 2010-2014 it was all about self study and sponging up information from friends who attended the Gaia School of Healing & Earth Education. Then 2014 onward, I steeped into many hours of classes through Cabrillo College, California School of Herbal Studies and Embodied Herbalism. As an experimental and practicing medicine creatrix for many years, I am always learning new techniques to work with the plants and enriching my community apothecary each season with fresh medicinals! I infuse my work with a focus on sustainability, supply chain awareness, supporting local farmers and only sourcing from reputable companies if needed.

As for my fiber & other creative history:

In high school Lil' Bit O' Bliss Creations was born as an outlet for my creative explorations. From medicine pouches, hand sewn clothing, upcycled wares, body adornments, metal jewelry fabrication, large scale welding, pottery, resist dyed and woven garments, wood burnings, leather work, wood work, dream catchers, my first herbal care products, costumes, and beyond. I was (and still am) so eager to try it all!

In 2017 I took a textiles class at Cabrillo College and dabbled in fiber applications and studied different techniques for sewing and dyeing fiber. From there, more explorations with plant dyeing trickled in but it wasn't until the summer of 2022 that I really took the deep dive and surrendered to the experimental play of Eco Printing and Bundle Dyeing.

In many ways, it's just the beginning...and simultaneously, it feels as if I've always been here, crafting up a storm. Thank you for seeing me; may my heart offerings bring you a little bit of bliss or spark inspiration within you and ripple through your days.
